Keto White Chicory Oven Bake with Cheese – 2 ways
Simple and delicious Keto recipe of White Chicory: one with garlic herb cream cheese and macadamia nuts and the other part with a Gouda cheese crust! This dish contains about 8.5 grams of carbs per serving of 2 chicories.

- 350 grams (4 x ) white chicories
- 100 grams Mozzarella cheese grated (for half the dish)
- 2 tbsp / 22 grams garlic herb cream-cheese (for half the dish)
- 30 grams macadamia nuts
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp freshly grounded black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Wash the 4 white chicories and cut all of them in half.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius or 356 degrees Fahrenheit.
Take a big cooking pan and add about 2/3 of it with water.
Add 0.25 teaspoon of salt to the water and place the white chicories inside.
Once the water is boiling, wait about 10 to 15 minutes till the white chicory is getting soft.
When the chicories are fully cooked, you can place them in a colander. Let the water drain for about 5 minutes.
Grease an oven dish with olive oil.
Add the drained chicories in the dish and add 0.25 tsp of salt and 0.5 tsp of pepper on top.
Option 1: White Chicories with garlic & herb cream cheese and macadamia nuts
Option 2: White Chicories with mozzarella cheese
Bake the white chicories
Place the oven dish in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes on 180 degrees Celsius / 356 degrees Fahrenheit.
Keep on checking the oven and remove the dish once the mozzarella cheese is getting a golden brown colour.
